Anyone still interested in improving the Rascal?

Stormdrum?

Are you out there mate?

Would be good to get this going again.

Sean.

Mine is still going strong, love it although it has not had as much use as it should of.

Latest mods I have done are the alloy shocks, they improved handling a lot as I found I kept popping the stock plastic shocks.  Picked a New Era roll cage up from Ebay, no real reason for getting it other than it was cheap

Hey Stormdrum.

I've changed the shocks too.  Got some alloy pogo sticks from H.K. installed atm. Going to throw those soon though as I got a deal on a set of Associated B44 alloy shocks from US on ebay.  Right size but the front top mounting is going to cause a problem.

Dremel time! LOL

I'm thinking of changing my pipe setup.  It works well but looks so crap with the exhaust high up.  Looked at so many manifolds.....Can't find the right one to mount the pipe across, behind the engine.

Cheers,

Sean

I think the only real option for a modded exhaust is to run it down the side, perhaps lower similar to the CRT.5.......

I am still not sure if an exposed pipe like the above is the best way to have it set up, seems a bit fragile especially in a high speed roll.  Whilst I like the way I mounted mine it is a bit fiddly for working with.  If you figure out a better way to get a pipe mounted post it up, will be interesting to see.

Latest mod on mine, new shell and wing.......

Got the option shock springs to install but some little hands have gone walkies with them!

I got the idea from another member on here.  Its a simple mod to do, I think I posted pics in another thread but heres what you need.  Its a CRT.5 wing and mount.

These are the bits you need

once assembled you need to trim it down a bit so it will bolt onto the back of the Rascal, it should look like this for mounting

Hi Stormdrum and Hybert.

I copied this mod from Stormdrum's pic's ages ago and it still going strong!

must admit though I haven't given the Rascal enough attention over the last few months.  Bought a escort van shell a while ago and trimmed it ready for painting, got new body posts etc.... then life got too busy.

But!   I've just got a small compressor and airbrush from ebay so here we go!

I've also got the Escort van shell, not sure how I am going to fit it with my double exhaust.  Funnily enough, it is waiting a paint job as I also got an airbrush and compressor a while ago and am currently getting to grips with painting.
