    Posted: 11 March 2009 at 12:04pm

Hi

Before i part company with some hard-earnt cash, in preperation for the STCC, i'd like to know what people think about this new GT2.0 Pro speedo from Speed Passion. I've had a Novak GTB for 14 months now and it's becomming a bit of a donkey compaired with these new 'next generation' speedos coming out and have come out. The GT2.0 Pro has caught my eye so, please let me know what your opinions are of it based on it's previous model.

Thanks very much.

I've been testing this unit for quite some time and all I can say it has been excellent.  Very good throttle feel, very adjustable, easy to used, more runtime than LRP and 100% reliable.

Speed Passion now have some serious drivers hooked up now so expect the lastest stuff to come through to be top class.

Old SP could run sensorless, so I suspect 2.0 can also.

I used a GT 1.1, it cogged running it sensorless, still went, but the throttle felt awful, not even close to being smooth, like the GM

They bought an update out for the 1.1 and that solved all problems.
I havent seen or heard of any problems with the Gt2 though

Erm....

Wet running, longer run time in mod 5 cell...

But sensorless should never really be used in anything but mod. It
requires too much adjustment to esc settings and gear ratios to make it
run smoothly and correctly.

(that is general sensorless/sensored info rather than relating to the SP
esc specifically)

Ive tested 6.5/lipo @ 1500g, to me it isnt as fast as 5cell, car feels slugish through the infield, its the weight limit thats puts me off it.
