Hey fellows these cars are really fast , they are 1/10 nascar gas cars with 09-12 motors in them. The chassis are asssociated based pan car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1BWRNb4zoQ   These cars are fast and furious but should be ran on highbite smooth surfaces only they don't like bumps and will get airborne.

Was ok...but...looks like they take some time to wind up to speed...low torque, high gear! Once wound up to speed one small mistake will put you out of the race...and needing new parts!

They did have good traction though it's hard to tell how fast they are going.

Hoop along time ago I had an Apex 10 which was associated type pan chassis made by dynamite and  let me tell you it was really fast . I had a .12 size modified motor in it and it was geared for maxiumn acceleration. But you were limited to running on smooth high traction surfaces or else you would flip or go into orbit.

I have the electric version for the speed event. The flip over is due to the shape of the shell as it produces lift if even a small amount of air is allowed to get underneath. That can be stopped with a Lola shell.

Most of these cars are only running a.09 motor!! My Apex was really fast because I put a modified .12 in it. Acceleration was explosive but you must run on a smooth high traction surface or you can forget about traction. Because the cars are so light they will get airborne if you hit a big bump or rock. Cheap Thrills the apex only cost me 150.00 bucks. You could make one of these cars with alittle ingenuity cheap.

Replacment parts for a associated pan car can be found dirt cheap so a re build is noooooooooo big deal small change usually.

They are fast and cheap using regular associated parts. My Apex .10 just had the plastic associated front end and it handle very well. Butttttttttt I have heard rumors that since Thundertiger has taken over associated the quality of their plastic parts is not as good.

What I was thinking about these cars is how much their performace would improve with a 2 speed tranny and bodies that were more aero dynamic .  Maybe moving the reciver battery and radio components more towards the front would help the front end stay down more??
