What Is the Best charge rate for 2 cell Lipos ? For the Past couple of Years I have been charging mine at 5Amp which seems fine

I ask the Question as my New Charger allows me to charge at upto 10Amp Which I seem to remember used to be stated as the Max to charge the old Trakpower 4900 packs at ( It was on the Sticker on the back of the lipos )

Modern Lipos don't seem to State a Max Charge Rate ? I was Just wondering If there is a Magic Number to Charge at ?

I was Ballence Charging at 6.5Amps at the weekend and this seemed fine  although it did not seem to get as much Back into my packs as Charging at 5Amps did ???? Does the Higher the Amp you go put less in but does it Quicker ?

I am Using Demon 5040  5000 40c packs

Sticking to 1c for the pack is my advice, there doesnt seem to be any harm in going to 2c if time is short, but this just degrades the pack quicker , so over time you will lose punch charging at 2c rather than 1

Charging up to 2c to get a quick charge has not hurt any of my packs, but i'd check with the manufacturer first. If I ever need to get a charge in fast, sometimes I'll charge anywhere from 1.5c-2c. But I stick to 1c if time allows it.
